Looking for anyone who has a Schonder in their family tree past or present. There
are only 100 or so Schonder’s listed in the world about half in the US and the

Any help is appreciated.

BAESEL Jacob / BRENNER Barbara; DEU>USA; 1840-

BAESEL Jacob / BRENNER Barbara; DEU>USA; 1840-

Jacob BAESEL arrived in New York about 1840 from somewhere in Germany.  His
fiancee, Barbara BRENNER, arrived sometime later.  They married and lived for a
while in the New York area.  Somewhere around 1845 they moved to Berea, Ohio
(near Cleveland) where they settled.  Their children were William Henry, John,
Elizabeth, and George.  William Henry and George married sisters,  Emmaline
(Caroline) and Elizabeth MOHR.  They also lived in the Berea, Ohio area.

I have no information regarding where Jacob BAESEL and Barbara BRENNER came
from in Germany?  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might start
looking?  I do have death dates for them and will try to find a death
certificate.  Were there standard ports of departure for passengers from
Germany that might narrow my search of passenger lists?  Does anyone have any
general information on the BAESEL and BRENNER names?  I have found mention of
one BAESEL in Pommern…but no others.  Thank you for any help.

I am seeking information about the the old world family and relatives of my
Grandparents; Martin KIETZMANN born 29 November 1839 in Prussia and Anna
ZABELL born 31 May 1844 in Prussia. They emigated to the USA in about 1865 with
their son Martin KIETZMANN Jr. born 19 November 1863. They were farmers and of
the Catholic faith. They first settled in the state of Wisconsin USA and then
in about 1875 mved to the Rice County, Minnesota area were they lived until
there deaths. I presently don’t the names of any brother’s or sisters of Martin
KIETZMANN Sr. I have found a younger brother of my Grandmother’s, John ZABELL,
who also lived and farmed in the Minnesota USA area. The surname KIETZMANN was
shorten to KITZMAN after they were in the USA for a number of years. Any help I
