CROSSON / CROSSEN George; IL,USA>WI,USA>MN,USA; 1840-1886
I am looking to locate information on the George CROSSON/CROSSEN family and
his descendants who first came to MN (Freeborn Co.) in 1873 from Green Co.,
WI. Prior to living in WI, George was living in Vermilion Co., IL. There
were several children, as the result of two unions:
George CROSSON (b 22 Jan 1821, place unknown; d 13 Sep 1886 prob in Mower
Co., MN; father’s name may be Columbia CROSSON/CROSSEN, living in Vermilion
Co., IL in 1840)

What we know:
The family moved in 1873 from WI to Oakland, Freeborn Co., MN, after the
death of George’s 2nd
wife. The family then moved "the neighbourhood of Cedar City" (we have been
unable to locate where
this might be, but it is believed to be in Mower Co., MN). They turn up in
Austin, Mower Co., MN in 1893.
Frank Deforest POWELL and Sarah Francie CROSSON are my husband’s
ggrandparents.
I would be interested in swapping lookup information with someone, in
particular, census films. I have full access to Canadian census films (from
1851 through to 1901 and some earlier), as well I can arrange for copies of
actual death and marriage registrations from the BC Archives.
Certainly hope there is someone out there who can help.
